Family Photo for 10

I had a very nice experience today with a large family.   The god parents of my kids were 2 of the 10. There were no kids to surprise us or throw that little extra challenge in so we were able to get some really nice group portraits in a short amount of time.  These are to be a present for the mom of 7 of the adult children. (two were spouses)  I don’t think she is likely to read my blog so I am throwing it out there.  I loved many on the tree but I am just posting one.

Senior Portraits and some fun hockey shots

I took C and his sister to the hockey rink since he is on his High School roller hockey team.  I wanted to get some fun shots of him doing what he loves to do.  I hate cheesy senior portraits where the kids are posed in some awkward position holding an item (hockey stick, basketball, etc)  I guess there is a demand for the bad backdrop and stiff poses but not here.  I like to have fun and try to highlight the kids at their best, looking comfortable.  See what you think.

Family Beach Session

As usual, I wanted to share some of my recent images.  I went with this family to do some group portraits as well as some Senior portraits of the son who is…a senior this year.  I struggled with the sun for awhile I have to say, but was able to work with the rocks and landscape at the beach to get some really nice family portraits.  I can’t wait until my new assistant Elsie comes with me on shoots.  I can bring more equipment and use it.
